This study addresses the fundamental question of why the American liberal democratic system ultimately culminated in the emergence of Trumpism as its logical output. The central hypothesis posits that Trumpism, as a populist phenomenon, is directly rooted in the structural and ideological crises of liberal democracy. These crises are primarily driven by the erosion of foundational democratic principles, such as civic participation, social justice, and public trust in political institutions. In combination with the growing dissatisfaction with political elites and systemic corruption, these crises created conditions in which populist and anti-elite discourses were able to materialize into a potent social and political movement represented by Donald Trump. The methodology of this study is both analytical and explanatory. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the underlying causes and the specific mechanisms through which American liberal democracy gave rise to a populist backlash. The findings of the research indicate that Trumpism emerged as a direct consequence of the complex processes within American liberal democracy, driven by identity crises and policy failures in reproducing equality and social justice. Through populist discourse, Trump succeeded in mobilizing segments of society that felt marginalized by democratic processes. In this context, Trump capitalized on profound distrust of elites and offered simplistic, reductionist solutions, positioning himself as an alternative political force that directly challenged the liberal democratic system. Therefore, the rise of Trumpism is understood as a contradictory response to the internal crises of American liberal democracy
