Systems theory, which is one of the prominent approaches in the humanities, especially in the fields of political science, allows us to examine and analyze various events in a specific way. By emphasizing the connection and interaction of various components of a system, this theory helps to understand phenomena more comprehensively and in the form of a related set. In this study, an attempt was made to examine the US withdrawal from Afghanistan within the framework of this theory. The US defeat in the Afghan war and failure to achieve its goals is one of the starting points for doubts about America's superior hegemony. Conflicting views have been put forward regarding the decline of US hegemony, and the withdrawal from Afghanistan without any achievements has fueled this fear and hope among American elites. The main question of this study is: "How can the US withdrawal from Afghanistan be explained and explained based on systems theory?" In response, it can be said that the crisis in the country's economic, political and military systems has affected its superiority in the international arena and has also had a negative impact on its status as a superior hegemon. The failure of Washington's declared policies in Afghanistan and the return of the Taliban to power, along with environmental pressures resulting from the active activism of powerful actors, which indicates a change in the realities of the international system, have caused the United States to rethink its fundamental hegemonic policies in the West Asian region in order to prevent a complete decline. Theoretical modeling has also been used to demonstrate this importance and operationalize the variables.
