Abstract
The current America is not just a country but in fact a civilizational form of the Western world in the present era, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which claims to create a new civilization in the world, must first understand it properly in order to transition from the current common civilization, that is, Western civilization, and understanding the inner workings of a civilization is possible through awareness of its culture. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to understand the situation and major cultural challenges of America, as the driving force of other civilizational areas (political, economic, social, and security). Therefore, in line with this goal, the books of 15 experts in this field who have the highest scores on the websites Goodreads and Librarything were examined and analyzed based on a descriptive-analytical approach and using the content analysis method. Based on the results obtained under the concept of comprehensiveness under the title of the macro-cultural situation of the United States and based on 111 extracted codes, 24 basic themes and 3 main and organizing themes, namely: the state of cultural-civilizational challenges of American society, the intellectual idea of this country in the field of culture and the future of its culture was identified. Considering the macro indicators obtained from American society and culture, it seems that this country is experiencing major crises that if these challenges are not resolved, the problems of American society will intensify. The factor that has so far prevented these crises from leading American culture towards collapse is the interest in change that has been formed in the nature of American culture.
