Political experts predict the emergence of a multipolar system, with China surpassing its competitors in economic dominance. This article aims to assess the decline of the U.S. and China's global position. The main question is: How can the decline of the U.S. and China's current status be evaluated? To answer this question, the study employs a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing document-based research with data collected through library sources. Traditional and technological power indicators have been used to assess the current status of the U.S. and China. The findings indicate that while the U.S. has lost its previous standing in economic, political, and moral aspects, it still maintains an advantage over China in technological power indicators. However, this does not guarantee the continuation of U.S. dominance, as the effective utilization of emerging technologies can empower weaker states or non-state actors to challenge the established power, ultimately leading to a multipolar global order. یکی از مباحث جدی در میان تحلیلگران و صاحبنظران سیاسی در آمریکا و سایر نقاط جهان بحث افول آمریکا و زمان تحقق آن است. پیش‌بینی کارشناسان سیاسی شکل‌­گیری نظام چندقطبی با برتری اقتصادی چین نسبت به رقبا است. هدف مقاله پیش‌رو ارزیابی افول آمریکا و موقعیت جهانی چین است. پرسش اصلی این است که چه ارزیابی می­‌توان از افول آمریکا و جایگاه کنونی چین داشت؟ برای پاسخ به سؤال فوق مبتنی بر رویکرد توصیفی- تحلیلی از روش مطالعه اسنادی استفاده شده و شیوه گردآوری داده‌­ها نیز به صورت کتابخانه‌­ای بوده است. همچنین برای ارزیابی موقعیت کنونی آمریکا و چین شاخص­‌های سنتی و فناورانه قدرت مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. یافته‌­های پژوهش نشان می­‌دهد اگرچه به لحاظ اقتصادی، سیاسی و اخلاقی آمریکا موقعیت پیشین خود را از دست داده است؛ با این حال در شاخص‌­های فناورانه قدرت موقعیت بهتری نسبت به چین دارد. با این وجود، این امر به معنای تداوم قدرت آمریکا نیست و توانایی بهره‌برداری مؤثر از فناوری­‌های جدید می‌تواند کشورهای ضعیف‌تر یا بازیگران غیردولتی را قادر سازد تا قدرت‌ مستقر را به چالش بکشند که در نهایت منجر به یک نظم جهانی چندقطبی‌ شود. https://asr.ihu.ac.ir/article_209749_fccfe993013a3c346e29cfdbae3134d3.pdf
